Milwaukee isn’t that far from where we live so we ride up there from time to time. Whenever we’re in Milwaukee we always go to the Harley-Davidson Museum.
The HD museum has so much I don’t where to begin. It’s more than just antique motorcycles although they have plenty of those. They have collections of helmets, gas tanks, and art. They have displays showing how different aspects of a Harley are engineered including how they get the distinctive Harley Davidson sound. One of my favorite displays was toward the end where they have different types of Harley’s that you can sit on. I especially like sitting on some of the racing bikes fantasizing about what it would be like to run full out around a dirt track. They also have a couple of pretty good restaurants on site for relaxing after taking the tour.
Basically the museum is a place that celebrates not just the Harley Davidson heritage but motorcycle culture in general. If you love motorcycles it’s a place you’ll want to check out.
